Our first EndurO was held on a sparkling autumn afternoon in Glen Iris. Runners and walkers took to the parks and streets armed with a map and 40 control descriptions, aiming to score as many points as possible in either 120 mins or 75 mins. Points were gained by choosing the correct answer at each control location. Course setter Robert planned a well laid out course where the best route was not at all obvious. Time flew by as we desperately sought those vital last points!
Congratulations to Ian who scored 860 points for a big win in the 120 min Run category. Andrew B took out the 120 min Walk with 580 points. Stephen won the 75 min Run by 480 points, only scraping home by 10 points. Michael S was the winner of the 75 min Walk with 360 points.
It was a fantastic event, and we can’t wait for the next EndurO on July 2 at Boronia. Meanwhile, regular Saturday Cake-O returns at Valley Reserve in Mount Waverley, starting at 2pm.
