The challenge is on again – spend this Sunday morning exploring the Maribyrnong Valley and surrounds. You’ll receive a colour map featuring 40 controls, and you can choose a 120 minute or 75 minute Score course, set by 2012 Park Street Course Setter of the Year, Peter Beggs.
Organisers believe it is possible to visit all controls by running 23.6 km, which should give the guns a chance of getting all controls, but additionally there are 20 controls within one kilometre of the start, so there is plenty of choice for slower orienteers.
As an enter on the day event, the cost of participation is $8 (Seniors), $4 (Juniors) and $20 (Family) (please bring correct change).
Start from Rosehill Park, Rachelle Road, Keilor East (Melway 27 G2). Register from 9.30am, with a 10am mass start for the 120 min course, and a 10.30am mass start for the 75 min course. Organised by Tuckonie Orienteers.
