EndurO no 4 at Chelsea, Sunday October 5

What a perfect day – sunny but not too warm for a beachside run or walk.  Greg pasted two of our new maps together – Chelsea and Aspendale – which feature the Edithvale Wetlands and the Patterson River.  And if you looked very very closely, you could almost see a contour line!  A very well laid out course saw people depart the start in every direction, in search of some, or all, of the 40 controls.

Congratulations to 120 min Run winner Ian Dodd, who backed up from his success at the previous EndurO at Berwick.  Ian covered approx 22 kms and earned 950 points, dropping nos 28, 14,19 and 15. He was almost matched by Andrew Rowan, who got all the controls but was unable to beat the clock. Third was Jim Taylor, who also scored in the 900s but had some hefty time penalties.

The 120 min Walk was won by Michael Hayward on 610 points, just ahead of Jo Torr and Maria Main, each on 580.  Steuart Snooks took out the 75 min Run  with 470 points, from Phil Torode on 435 and Steve Dunbar on 430.  Ian Baker scored 185 points on the 75 min Walk.

Thanks Greg for a great event and an excellent wrap to the 2014 EndurO series.
